my girl friend (no pics cause she doesn't want them posted, and a few members on here have already met her @ spazpalooza...) is far more than me... she speaks 9 different languages, has a few different degrees etc etc... somethings i know more about than her but over all she is far more intelligent than i am (inb4 ur a dumb ass duuurrrr...)

now this would have bothered me years and years ago but now days in my life it doesn't bother me at all... infact i like it a bit...

Anyway, I prefer a partner of slightly lesser intelligence than I (Just slightly, and I'm damn smrt. s-m-r-t). That way she can actually carry on a deep interesting conversation about important topics beyond twitter and MTV, yet I still get to see that momentary child-like expression of wonder after I explain a relatively simple concept, such as what the blue reflectors on the road are for.

no... the multiple languages is only the begining... we're planning a trip to mexico to explore the mayan stuffs (one of her languages is mayan) and what not... what i enjoy is learning from her on what she knows and of course same for her learning from me...

IDk it depends. Is she just book smart? or do she have some common sense to go with it? Does she act like she knows shes smarter than me? Some people are really smart but are still complete morons.

I don't think it would bother me if she was smarter as long as she also had common sense and did not talk down to me or other people of less intelligence.

What defines smarter?

Allie has a degree, between a 110 and 120 IQ (I'd guess, she never tested), and makes $30k a year. I have a 163 IQ, 3/4 of a degree, and make just under six figures.

I decided to drop out of college after my 3rd year and pursue my career. She stuck it out and finished her degree in 3.5 years. Most people would say she was smarter for staying in college. I would classify it as a "smarter decision" than mine at the time, but now, I believe my route was smarter.

To answer the question, I hate being outdone by women. I'm not sexist, it's just hardwired into my brain...I can't help it.

My gf has her a bachelors degree already and I'm still going to school for it and have about 2 yr's left, It does bother me sometimes. It just makes me feel like I'm slacking it or something but then again she is 25 already so at the end I'll have mine before she did
