why do you want your chest to grow and droop downwards?

you guys really have that much of a problem with lower chest? it gets hit pretty well with just flat bench. You build your lower chest too much and it'll look like you got man boobs. Do pec deck fly, flat barbelll and dumbbell bench and INCLINE bench. Most people are lacking an upper chest.

Incline dumbells is what I consider the best chest work out. I hate straightbar, I feel it way too much in my shoulders. Its good to do obviously, but nothing is better than dumbells.

stick weight clips on the bar to hold weights on and dish the bar off if you can't get it up.

barbell is good but i agree with you completely on the point you are making. The dumbell allows you to go past parralel. This stretches your chest much better and i also agree with the less stress on the front delts. Elaborating on that even more, my right shoulder has been in pain recently from barbell flat bench lol

many secondary lifts on a resistance machine cant be matched with dumbells. . .gravity works in same direction all the time which is not in the "right" direction throughout the entire range of many exercises. in other words, if you are doing butterflies with 40 lb dumbells, you arent butterflying 40 lbs through the entire range of the exercise. on a butterfly machine, however, it's 40 pounds the entire range of the machine. i know you weren't talkin butterflies but i wanted to make the point that many secondary lifts are best on a resistance machine.
not the easiest thing to explain through words, hope that shit makes sense.Last edited by side2000; 03-15-2009 at 09:42 AM.
