working the night shift

Yeah, I used to work 7p-7a as a weekender. I'm a night person anyway so it really didn't bother me, not being able to go to any college football games....that sucked.

I managed a 24 hour store for 2 years. I never worked overnight shifts, but often went in at 2am or so to check on them and talk to them. Worst 2 years of my life. I am mostly a nightowl, but I hate that 24 hour work shit.

my job rotates day and night shift,so i don't have it all the time,but it sucks when i do.i work 6:15pm to 5 am and when you get off work a 5 saturday morning it really makes your weekend seem short.

me too, i'm asleep by 8:30pm on dayshift.amazing what you can get used to though.

I work 11pm to 7am in a warehouse. It sucks this time of year, I go to bed while it's dark, and wake up while it's dark. But it allows me to go to school...so I aint complainin

Ive worked 10pm-6am,11pm-7am, and 4pm-4am. Honestly, out of those, the 4-4 was the best, because it was only a 4 day work week, I still got overtime, and had 3 day weekends. I hop on the internet for awhile when I got home, and then sleep till it was time to work. It was fuckin awesome

I worked for a little while midnights (10pm - 6am) at the gas station I was managing while I was trying to find a worker to take the shift over permanently.

I thought it would suck too.....

Then after about a week I realized that lots of hot chicks come into gas stations at strange hours of the night (usually after a club or something similar to buy a pop/gum/smokes).....

Most of my girlfriends were from working at the gas station

11p-7a as security at a casino which is the absolute best time to work there. Many many women visit between those times so it's not bad at all. For military it sucks because we will be sleeping and often get woken up for a SAR case(search and rescue) in the middle of the night and not get much if any sleep at all. So that isn't quite as enjoyable.
