Work Issue
Well, I got a problem not sure how to deal or what to do about it.
I'm at work the other day, and saw another worker taking fuel out of a company truck and taking it and putting it in his truck. I can't stand a thief, but I dont wanna be a rat but it has really pissed me off about it. And this guy makes good money so why risk your job over a few gallons of fuel?
Now I'm not sure what to do, cause if he is doing that what else is he doing

Sometimes its best to just let things like that go unless they directly effect you. Management/bosses are employed to handle shit like that.

i'd say confront him about it, tell him to replace what he's taken or else you'll report him. leaves him the opportunity to undo the damage. if he's an ass about it, report him.
a friend just told me that they installed toilet paper racks with locks at her workplace... it's common.

I'd tell him to put it back, or I'd report it. Hell, I wrote down the license number of some people at the gas station last night, they were obviously trying to use stolen credit cards to buy gas. I called the cops, they came to my house and took a report. They said they probably won't catch the guy, I agreed, but I still reported it.

Walmart had a system that I liked, a drop box. You write down everything on a paper and drop it in the box. They even had a hot line you could call for employees, to complain. I never used one, mainly because if I had a problem with my department manager, I told him he was stupid idiot who does not do his job. There's some ideas right there.

How big is this company? I mean if $30 of gas is going to kill the company, then I would say something to a manager. Otherwise let it go. If it isn't affecting your paycheck or future employment, it would be best to stay out of it or it can get complicated. Your company, might say well why didn't you stop him in the act? Or things of that nature.

Report it. You could face disciplinary action if they were to find out that you knew about his stealing and didn't report it.

Was it an emergency thing? Maybe he ran out of gas and needed a few gallons to get to the station You won't know unless you talk to him about it...don't be a pussy and go to the manager.

he doesn't know anyone saw him. And its not that a small amount would kill the company its the fact of how many other times he has done it, i know I have drove certain trucks and filled them then no one else use them and come back the next day and it be almost empty.
and actually another worker saw part of it and we both agree he is a piece of shit plan and simple

On the flipside of what i previously said, thinking about it some more..... Last car dealer i worked at had their own gas pump. Random people were stealing gas and they ended up having to lock the thing and you would have to unlock it everytime you needed to use it. Well with one key and like 30 different people using the pump, you can imagine what a pain in the ass it became to fill cars with gas as the key would get lost on the regular or not put back in its place. The way things are these days with people having a hard time keeping jobs, making money etc Companies really dont need people like him working there. I hate when peopel get away with things. I now think you should confront him first and pending what his reaction is, then possibly report it
