    2000 WS6 Trans Am

    Woooty Toot Toot Toot!!!!!

    Ok, so i took my Trans Am to Hesco in Birmingham AL to be dyno tuned and have my Intake and Throttle Body Installed. I've always noticed that my car did not perform the way it should. When i bought the car off ebay the guy said the car dynoed at 381. The car has a flowmaster exhaust and a glasspack to tone the car down.

    Anywho. I took the car there monday and monday afternoon the guy calls and said there seems to be a big problem. He said the car is dynoing at 275. He then said he'd have to call me back so that he could find out what in the world was going on. He called me back this morning and said the glasspacks are the problem. Apparently, the exhaust was all trying to squeeze through a one inch hole.

    They retuned my car, installed my FAST intake and now i'm making 419 HP. I gained like 140 hp in one day. I was so excited.

    Gonna have to do something about the sound. Its insanely loud.

    Sorry for the long post. But, this sure explains why i kept geting beat by C6's and SRT-10 Dode Ram Trucks

    No the glasspak had the 1 in hole through it. It only had a 1 in tube through the center. Very restrictive muffler.

    why make glasspacks if they are so damn restrictive? sure the sound might be restricted, but you lose like 30% of your hp from doing so?

    That is just an old scholl muffler from back in the day. The guy probably didn't know that it was that restrictive.
