so last night i was sitting there watching tv, the wife was doing some school work on the pc. she was looking for a file and comes across some old pictures of her before and right up until we met. now granted, we both have put on some weight since we met, but i love her the same nonetheless. anyway, she calls me over and asks me "do you like the way i looked then more than now?" i froze. i didn't know what to say so i just refused to answer b/c and said it was a trick question. she assured me it wasn't and was just trying to get an answer. i told her that i love her and that i am happy with the way she looks, as long as she's happy. i told her that if it would make her happy to lose some weight and get back to where she was 5 years ago then go for it.

i'll be damned if i'm gonna say "yeah baby you're a fatass and you need to lose weight."

she already knew the answer

she asked you a stupid question and you gave her a stupid answer, which probably got you more shit than if you would have said yes.

I know she wants to lose weight, I think it was just making her depressed seeing those old pictures. We've both been trying to lose weight over the past few years to no avail. I think she needs me to basically tell her she's fat so she'll be motivated to shed the pounds. <<Those were almost her words last night anyway.

You two are too young to be fat...there's plenty of time for that later. Even if you have a half ass metabolism just eating right will shed off the weight.

haha. well we are both in our mid-upper 20s now just eating right isn't cutting it. we have been lightly working out though but we need to step it up a notch.

my younger brother told me once that his wife asked him " Would you still love me if I got fat?" and he said " I'd love you if you weighed 300lbs." He said he didn't realize he was setting a goal for her.
