There's this guy I know that just recently broke up with his girl. I've known this girl for about as long as I've known the guy, 3 months or so. I'm semi friends with this dude but not really...we hung out a couple times, went to highschool together but never talked much until recently.

Basically, I've hung out with his ex a few times since the breakup, but he's kinda telling me to backoff. How he wont have "respect" for me if I continue to see her. I'm 99% sure she is interested in me. She is probably trying to get back at him using me, but who knows.

Am I in the wrong here?

The best thing I can tell you is put yourself in his place. How would you feel if he did the same thing to you. My BF is the biggest dbag of all time but at the end of the day I love him and will probably always be with him!

3 years, different story and you need to stay away. With it being 3 months, pound that ass but I would wait sometime until things cool down.

If I broke up with a girl, that means I don't want to see said girl...therefore i wouldn't care much who she dates, unless it's like my best friend of many years as stated before

I say go for it.. he isnt that close of a friend...

but even so.... i dated a guy for a little and now one of my girl friends is,, off and on with him, i effin love it, cuz i really think they are a good match. never been jealous or anything of the sort.......... in fact, last night i told him to bang her with her dress on and heels.. hahaha.. and he did!

So I say go for it... 3 months is nothing, and you really have every right... so go get some, but careful of the rebound thing... unless thats exactly what you want to be.

Man Law states 6 months if it's your best friend. But since it's not your best friend, I'd say anytime is acceptable.
