you can request a transfer to another medical facility from a current medical facility to receive treatment/care, if the treatment you are or are not receiving is subpar or further decreases your current state of health and medical condition(s)...

If you or a member of your family was writhing around expelling blood and was being ignored by the onduty staff.. what would you do ? 911 is what we are taught to do/call for emergency help..
Sad, tragically sad.. a life lost due to callousness and stupidity.
No one deserves to die, and to die that way, in pain and suffering in the very Bastion of what society deems to be our salvation..
And then to reach out for help and be shot down by someone that's supposed to there to help save you... I think they (operator and staff present) should be incarcerated at the least. My base instincts say torture, but I know that's wrong.

Hospital is 100% Liable. Not the 911 operator. 911's job is to get emergency personnel on the scene. By her being in a state registered and regulated hospital, she was obviously able to be taken care of. If the hospital can't help her, because they don't have the facilities or speacialty doctor on site, then they have procedures to run to get that person life flighted/ or bus'd (ambulance) to another facility.

It isn't the 911 operators job to question a federally regulated medical establishement unless they place was under some sort of distress (I.E terrorist, or hostage situation)

I think the triage section (which suppose to analyize the patients and determine the severeness of the illness/ injury, should all be fired) Not for making a misstake, but for letting this woman scream and sprawl out on the floor bleeding from her mouth and not doing anything about it. Ulitimately dying.

If there is initial assesment was wrong, that is one thing, but to let her go for almost an hour-- that is total BS. and that hospital would be slapped with a HUGE lawsuit.

I am not one to sue for the sake of suing, but damn what is this world coming to.

If She was complaining of a foot ache, I could see there side, but she was screaming in excrutiating pain and bleeding from her mouth. Even in basic First Aid classes, you learn that blood from the mouth is a serious problem. (assuming it isnt a broke tooth, or cut in the mouth)

Well in that case... I retract my previous statement and agree with you on the triage thing...

Either way... it wasn't even bleeding from the mouth... it was vomiting blood... thats a big difference in itself.. like either "oh noes I stabbed myself with my frok, drip drip drip" as opposed "BBLLARRRGGGG OMG BLOOD BBLAARGGGG"... I don't see how they couldv've been so stupid to ignore that

This story is absolutely apalling. In the United States we are supposed to have the best hospitals in the world and the fact that someone no matter who they are would get ignored as they are vomiting blood is scary and heart breaking. This hospital has a history of negligence. I hope they get sued and shut down. Hospitals make a fortune and need to make their absolute best efforts to help the patient.

I saw on the news that the cops came to the er and ran a ck on the lady she had some silly warrant on her , they arrest her and while on the way to the police car she died
