    Wireless Help

I want a wireless card for my laptop. Where do I get it? How much does it cost? How does it work? Thanks

You can get one from jsut about any office store, office depot, office max, staples, best buy. You can get a pcmcia or usb. Think they run about $50.

What do you mean by wireless? Do you have a wireless router/network setup in your house? If you do, then you could get a wireless card from an office store as stated above. If you dont have a wireless network setup but have cable internet in your house, you can get a wireless router and go that route. Or do you mean wireless as in take your laptop anywhere and receive internet via a cellular signal?

I guess, but I have AT&T. Does anyone know if this is a flat fee or a monthly service?

I live out in a rural area so a wireless card was my only option..
First off All the companys charge the same.
60.00/month and you get 5GB of internet time. Personaly i only use about 250 MB a month so thats plenty for me but if you plan on doing gaming or things of that nature then i wouldnt waste my money.
I just canceled my Cingular service because it was slower than crap.
I now have verizon and its pretty fast.
Your connection speed depends on where you live in relation to the cell phone towers.
You will have to sign a contract just like your cell phone.
Also if the Card doesnt work for whatever reason dont let them tell you the BS about paying a early cancelation fee, Argue your way through it and cancel.
It is nice to be able to connect anywhere, in the car, on trips, yada yada...

I would love to have a AIR CARD. Two different cards being talked about here. 60 bucks a month seems steep to me, ecspecially right now. But it would be awesome.
