Me and the wife drove all over town looking to buy one for the kids yesterday and nobody had them. I get online and see that all major retailers are out of stock. What did I miss? Hasn't this thing been out for a while? Why is everyone out of them?

new consoles are on backorder there. I'm sure I'll find one....newegg has them I think ( at least it doesn't say out of stock) but I'm curious as to why there's a shortage this long after it was released.
