I cant help you cuz I am on the fence myself.
PS3 = no good games, too expensive, blu ray hasnt even taken off yet
Wii = seems to be the favorite, but for me, no good games
Xbox360 = more realistic price, better game library

i played them all... ps3 was by far my favorite choice on an lcd high def tv. 360 does ahve a better game library, but it is alreayd a year and a half old so thats why... the future is in the ps3, and i guarantee a year from now the games will be the best...since you got that crazy tv id go witht he ps3...and the wii is fun as well, but the games have their limits with the controller setup...and its REALLY hard to get used to

Avoid the wii unless you want to throw your controller through the screen during a peak action scene...
As for burn in, it depends on the screen. The older plasmas are very prone to burn-in issues, but I believe that most newer models are able to mitigate it. You should research the specific model that you are planning to play on.
Burn in was a big deal when I bought my big screen which is why I went with LCD.

I got my 360 over the christmas holidays, and a store was giving a $100 rebate for both packages, so I got the Premium package for $300

I've got a NES that's kept me entertained since the mid 80's. I have no need to spend hundreds on a new game system.

Leave it to a fucking caveman to say such outdated shit.
Good point. I hate it when people are biased cuz of what they bought.
Guess you shoulda shelled out another $50-$60 bucks for a game then, huh?
First time I have heard this...
