elvis was great, that could be a good choice for ONE OF THE GREATEST lol but i dont think that this is a factual question. Its an opinion thing. because how can you possibly pick a top guy when you can come up with a list like this... ( in no particular order) ps. thse are even singers that i'm not necessarily a fan of but theres no denying their greatness
1. John Lennon
2. Eric Clapton
3. Bruce Springsteen
4. Billy Joel
5. Dave Matthews
6. Ozzy Osbourne (yes he's great!)
7. elvis
