Red- 99 Chevrolet Camaro Z-28
old record was 171 by block.....these 2 guys have tons of room to jump farther too for as modded out as their sti's are....and how quickly they get up to speed

well, there is NO limit for the get-to-speed run so on paper you could probably jump 500ft

Red- 99 Chevrolet Camaro Z-28
but the thing about both ken block and travis are they both do these jumps on dirtbikes before they even attempt it with these rally cars

the problem with the dirt bike is that it's built for lightness, not HP
a car like that STI after added HP you can get to 160mph and THEN jump

Red- 99 Chevrolet Camaro Z-28
they do it with bikes just to see if it can be done in the amount of space given

the "lightness" of a vehicle has nothing to do with how far it can jump. its all about the speed. a motorcycle and a car going the same speed hitting the same jump will go the same distance.

Eh, the landings start to get pretty hairy on bikes. Also, the wind kicks you of course way easier as well

A car going 50 mph will not go as far as a dirtbike going 50mph because gravity will have a more drastic effect on the car than the bike. A car would require more speed to go the same distance to counter-act the effect of gravity.
