noooooo. thats what im tryin to figure out. i will not sign my life away, but i talked to a couple guys today and they say they have a life, have a family, make tons of money, and never get deployed. to me, that sounds good. if i dont have to leave for a long time, and make really good money, it sounds good to me

they will tell you everything that you wanna here ATC. If you join ANY branch of service including gaurd or reserves you are at a high risk for deployment and it will happen during your term of enlistment. Personally for me, I think it would be rougher to be in the gaurd than active because those units tend to get deployed just as often but are not near as proficient in there military tasks and have to put a civilian life on pause no matter what you are in the middle of doing. At least if your active duty they dont let you have too much of a life or stability as it is lol.
