WHO: Cell phone use can increase possible cancer risk

(CNN) -- Radiation from cell phones can possibly cause cancer, according to the World Health Organization. The agency now lists mobile phone use in the same "carcinogenic hazard" category as lead, engine exhaust and chloroform.

a cell phone is basically a radio transmitter/receiver.. so yeah, i wouldn't be surprised,,... why i try to use it as little as possible, and when i do use speakerphone mode.

I make/receive few calls anymore. Seems like everyone around me is texting for the most part. Even my mom and stepdad. My dad, however, has remained old fashioned, despite owning an iPhone.

My brain did feel a little funny after talking to my sister in TX for an hour straight...my ear was buuuurning.

sad to see so many people these days wed to their "mobile devices", iphones, what have you... (for several reasons actually), ..but it's the walking around, driving, etc. w/ that microwave xmitter right up to your brain the whole time - gonna be a lot of folks getting cancer from this down the line...
