Who bought a car just to impress others?

How many people here are guilty of this or know someone that is? Ill admit I have when I considered buying a 97 gts just for the sole purpose to be flashy. Sad thing is that I don't really like them.

You REALLY don't think that people dont buy cars to stand out? People are always complaining that they dont want this car or that car because to many people have it. I hear it all the time with corvettes. Maybe I should rephrase it this way...who has not bought a car because it is too popular?

Don't get me wrong I like the attention the car gets and I like that it stands out, that said I bought the car because I loved Firebirds since seeing a pic of the 25th anniversary TA in a mag when i was 14.

Of course some folks do. They tend to be people that I can't relate to so I avoid them. Seems like a frivolous way to get attention to me. "Look at me! Look at me!"

Well, I have 4 Camaro's but they all serve different purposes: 67 is a restomod, 89 is old DD, 98 is current DD and the 02 is a driver/racecar.
