today i got fired from my position as a lube tech because i forgot to change a oil filter on an older rav-4. these oil filters are located right under the exhaust manifold and can only be removed from the top. after lowering down the car i put oil in it and sent it on its way, being used to the filters being at the bottom my mind completely slipped to change it. the customer had his filter marked and checked to see if it had been changed. my boss came up to me and told me to pack my shit and leave. now i understand i was in the wrong but i don't think it deserved termination while other guys always show up late and leave drain plugs loose. well funny story, my friend was telling me about his job at this place www.bobbypopecustoms.com he does custom wok to old cars from restoration to resto-moding them. i called him and told him about the incident i had and he told me to come in and talk to his boss. i did so and mentioned my camaro and what i have done to it.after about an hour of talking he threw me a shirt and said to come in monday. i just landed my dream job

this happened about an hour after i got fired haha i dont know how but it did. with me being young and having a lot to learn, the owner is going to pretty much show me how to do everything his way. im working for minimum wage but i can live with that if that means doing what ive wanted to do since i was a little kid
