I believe the story behind that was the studs all broke off. I remember reading he should've got longer studs for his new wheels.

That wasn't lug nuts coming off...way it looked to me was those were his lug bolts breaking off.....either he torqued them waaaayyyy too much or they were too short for those wheels......but those were lug bolts snapping off there....

This is why I have 1/2" dia (vs 7/16" dia stock) very long studs in the 12 bolt of my 67. I don't need to have anything shearing off.....
