    Wheelie question

I have some videos on my computer that I got from ls1.com awhile ago, before the server crash, one of them is the well known F-body exhibition of speed, and the other is one titled "Till the motherf*ckin wheels fall off part II". I'm sure some of you have seen them. In fbes2 there is a shot of an LS1 pulling a wheelie, and in the other video there are loads of LS1's pulling major wheelies. I was just curious, what sort of rwhp/tq/mods would you need on a LS1 f-body to do that?

Hell...I got my front wheels off the ground back in the 400RWHP stage....now with the stroker motor I really have to be careful and only launch at about 60%......but getting skyward is not all RWHP friend...it is about traction....I have so many mods to my chassis/rear end it doesnt even resemble a 04 GTO anymore...but she sure hooks....I hate getting her up in the air...I've knocked off my damn oil pan...busted struts....knocked off my dad gum oil cooler one time.....may look cool but doesnt do shit for your car or your ET....

Ok thanks, I was just wondering what caused it, I figured that it would only hurt the ET and wondered about the damage because some of the cars slammed back down pretty hard.

with the best suspension mods and rearend, tire, and tranny clutch/conv, a stock LS1 motor has enough power/tq to raise the front off the ground. Actually, i think the motor had headers and exhaust, so i guess it wasnt completley stock. oh and it had a lid.

Sarge.. do you have the double adjustable shocks up front? I know what your doing so I'm not questioning how you broke all that crap just wondering if you have any experience with them. they are pricy and I'm just curious since I know with single adjustables you can get great wieght transfer but slam to car back down way to hard for comfort
Alright... I'm starting it now. Try not to piss yourself.

    Ben Stiller movie.

i'm pumped, i wanna see these vids. i have a desktop [not on current computer] of 2 ls1's in a street race, both are nose up about 1.5 feet. It has a blue t/a and a yellow ws.6, some big guy is in the middle dropping his hands to initiate the race.

No stock struts in the front....real PITA to get any aftermarket setups to work.....very very tight clearance witrh the wheel....
