You can read stuff about them but you won't really know them just about them, there is a difference. There is only so much you can capture about them with books and the internet which why I said what I did. I have read a lot about different people. One example would be Ulysses S. Grant but I still don't feel like I know them enough to make a judgment on whether I think they are complete scumbags or not.

That is my point...unless you know them personally or were alive during the times and saw how they acted in such you can't really make an accurate judgement on them whether the person is alive or dead. Just my way of thinking anyways. Sometimes I wish I could go back in time to just observe history and see what it was really like compared to what we are told and read about to see if it is at all accurate or not.

Ted Kennedy should have been ostracized for his actions following Chappaquiddick and kicked out of the Senate and charged for murder.
Instead he's allowed to muck up the system for another 40 years...
In this day and age JFK would have been considered a conservative. I'm not sure about RFK. As AG he would have been considered a conservative but his politics were very liberal...

they estimated Ted was doing 98mph when he hit the water because that's how fast it takes to knock a girls panties off and put them in the glovebox.

JFK seemed like a good president, but not a good guy...between his affairs and the money schemes he was involved with, its hard to say he was a good dude. President wise...he pissed enough people off to get killed...so that says it all. You buck the system enough and you get the horns one way or the other...his case was pretty extreme...most people just get kicked out of office or ostracized.
The question is...what does everybody think about LBJ considering that its just now coming out that he was more than likely involved in JFK's death. Im really looking forward to the new movie Killing Kennedy.
