Whats with the weird uniform colors

Anyone know why the NY Jets uniforms looked like the stole them from the Steelers and the Titans had on Oilers uniforms. The refs had on red and white striped shirts too. WTF?

It's the games where they celebrate the AFL's 50 year anniversary. They're doing it all through this year various games. I know when the broncos play the patiots in 2 weeks they'll both be wearing different uniforms.

Ironically, the NY Jets were originally called the NY Titans while the Titans were originally the Houstan Oilers.

And as stated, all the original AFL teams are doing original uniform styles (including the refs and umps) for the 50th year celebration.

It was nice seeing the Jets as the TITANS and the Tenn. Titans as the Oilers. Brings back memories. I will admit, it is kinda weird watching a game and ya wonder "what ever happened to so-and-so's team?" and there they are with either a different name or in a different state.

not a raiders fan but enjoy it while you can. you guys should be getting ready for a game losing streak with out of division games. sd is a maybe but i dont have high expectations. if you guys lose vs sd i expect a 5 game losing streak. i expect den to beat was so it should be no more than 5 in a row. after that week 12 and 14 i dont expect wins from denver either.

but the real ugly jerseys were the seahawks. by far.
