the benefit comes when you build strokers that dont clear a stocker, you have a car that has a new kmember and you have clearnace issues, you want the best in oiling for a car that rails corners really hard, you want more oil capacity for a racing engine. most street engines its not necessary. An example of a car that uses these oil pans a lot on the street is my beloved fox bodies. Most of the stroker guys use them, and guys that go to a tubular k member. The guys that road race their stangs use them too. My friend is running a canton pan on his new 347 novi2000, maxiumum motorspors suspension car. pretty nice lookin pan if you ask me

yes stay stock bro. the ls1 uses a nice pan thats actually structural to the engine. now that i think of it, im not entirely sure that moroso and canton even make pans for ls1s. ls1's to my knowledge dont have windage problems.
