2009 Silverado Z71- 2003 Corvette MN6 Black
I brought up the point in the other topic that it is automatic only. That's a deal breaker for me. Also I don't really get the name, Chevy SS? If they really had to use that name for the car they should have spelled it out, Chevrolet Super Sport.

The Holden on which it is based has a manual trans option. It may very well be an option for future model years. It's the same car as the Holden (appearance wise), minus badges and wheels. Probably be around 40K pricewise, or around the G8 GXP.

I dont like the front end. And if one of the newer cars didnt have some LED it would be a crime.

Another GM that looks better in the holden version. The aussie counterpart has a manual option as 5.0 stated, hopefully they will introduce it in the US. I have also heard that the car would be called the caprice SS but I guess that isn't happening.
The outside of the car may not be as cool as the g8 but the interior is a step up. If GM uses a similar one as the holden.

2014 ss
Just not liking the body Looks like an updated Monte Carlo, G8 or Grand Prix (Non GXP). Interior looks like a space shuttle cockpit but like the styling.

At least it will have the LS3 and a 3.30-ish rear gear. Coupled with the 6-speed automatic it should come out of the hole pretty well.
I am more interested in the 1LE Camaro. That thing comes with the 3.91 rear gear.

I actually like everything like it so far. It would be better looking if the hood looked more aggressive but other than that it looks good.

If they're gonna put out a rwd SS then why not bring back the Monte Carlo? Especially if they want to race it, Dale Sr. won many a race with the good ol' MC.

No, it shouldnt have. The Impala is competing in a different market segment, and one that is far more important than the one where the SS will compete in. Alot more people want the big roomy front wheel drive people mover. The impala is competing against the camry, accord, taurus, etc. The SS is more along the lines of the Infiniti G series, Lexus IS, and other entry level RWD near-luxury cars.
How can you even say that??? It's literally the same damn car. It has a different grill emblem, and different wheels. Other than that they didnt change a goddamn thing.

*yawn*
Another boring looking sedan. I thought it was a FWD Impala at first.
At least the interior looks promising. I do have a problem with the wheel well openings,
I don't like the look of the rear well being lower than the front, either because it really is
or the styling.
And I am really getting tired of the LED front lighting on today's cars. Hoping it is
just a fad of the early 2010 decade and fades quickly. Looks like eyeliner on a lot
of cars.
G8 was much better done, no boring everyday melt-in-with-everyone else look to that car.
Love the front fender flares on that car.
