83 Z28 new project- 98 Formula WS7-sold:(
Whats the biggest POS car you ever owned?
Im bored at work right now, so mine was a 87 cavalier. It was three tone brown, the normal shit brown it was painted in, primer, and lots of rust. Every time you shut the door, a piece or chunk of something fell off. It was a four speed with a completely shot clutch. The only time I used the clutch was to initally start and get the junker moving, after that, I just blipped the gas to get the synchros lined up to get the next gear. This thing had a deal on the shifter you had to push up to get it in reverse, and of course it was broke, so I needed a vice grip that was permantely attached to this piece of plastic inside the console to shift it. One wintry day, I was leaving with two of my friends to go to school. We were driving down his hill, which weas steep and icy. At the bottom of the hill, there is a t intersection. and beyond that is a shallow ditch and some railroad tracks at the same height of the road, then an open field, then the main road. Well, I slid into the ditch then jumped the tracks into the field. My friend in the front seat was a big guy, and floor underneath fell through and the back portion of the seat was dragging on the ground. He never rode in the car again. I never changed oil in it hoping it would blow up, but it never did. There was only like a quart left in it when it went to the junk yard. In the end, with all the things wrong with this piece of crap, a dash fire took it out. I saw it burning one day after work through a hole in the dash from a cigarette lighter. I just did not see that coming at all.

'88 Firebird. HUGE hole in floorboard right in front of driver seat ( used to trim insulation stuff hanging below the car so people couldnt see it), seats rusted in place, t-tops leaked like a waterfall (went through a huge puddle once and DRENCHED my gf), you could grab the steering wheel and move it in anydirection about 4 inches ( take a turn and the wheel moves to the side suddenly), driver door didnt workso I had to crawl across, took a hard left once and passenger side door flew open and the gf almost fell out, after that she slammed the door closed and it wouldnt reopen so we had to climb in and ou of the t-tops for a few days until I could at least get the pass side door working again.

the ford conjob and the mercury mistake lol i'd have to agree that car is a real pos even when they are taken car of and have low miles. jus a bad design. Heaven help you if you have a 2.5 v6 and get a check engine light for catalyst efficiency. You are looking at a repair that costs at least 2k. That car is a bitch and a half to work on.

Pewter metallic- 2000 Camaro SS
I have a 2.0 4 banger thankfully. I bought it last July. The guy I bought it from dumped a lemon on me, my fault though. Since buying it, I have had to replace the following:
02 sensor
Idler pulley
Timing belt
Serpentine belt x2
Alternator
Battery
A/c compressor
Tensioner
Thermostat
Coolant hose
And a few other odds and ends. I carry my Chiltons manual for that POS in the passenger seat
After pulling everything apart a few times, I have gotten pretty efficient at working on the turd now
Its getting me around these days though

I'd say probably my first car. A yellow/black '92 Geo Tracker. It was a rattle can on wheels.

Red- 2001 Camaro SS
Mine was a '93 Ford Probe. Looks kinda sweet, but is a GIANT POS!! I still have it, and it's been up for sale for a year. (in april)
Oh well....I had just sunk in about $2500 in the last year in repairs to it, and i'm only selling it for $1200...and still NO offers.
Does everyone already know that Probes are POS's??? :

Navy Blue Metallic- '00 Formy A4
Never really owned a true POS. I was always picky about cars.
My first came closest, a '73 Chevy 4x4 pickup. It needed alot of work, but by the time I got my liscence it was no longer a POS, I had had done all the body work, redid the interior, and installed the lift and big tires. It was pretty badass, actually.
