As far as that list, I'm sort of partial to Silverado and Little Big Man. There are a lot of good films on it though. I love westerns as well as accurately portrayed 19th century era films. Like The Long Riders. Historical accuracy is key for me. I'm not real big on a lot of the 50's westerns where everyone has 1950's hair cuts

My favorites on that list are Outlaw Josey Wales and Tombstone.

I haven't seen many of the others, so obviously they aren't as good

High Plains Drifter, The Quick and the Dead, The Magnificant Seven, Unforgiven, and Pale Rider are probably my top picks in no particular order.

although I do like unforgiven and thought it was a good movie it was slow through most of it so there's no way I'd rank it 2nd. Outlaw Jose Wales would probably be my favorite movie but as far as westerns go you can't beat Gunsmoke even though it was a series and not a movie.

I really like that movie. Great cast, good story and some really neat cinematography.

Tombstone is my all time favorite, Fastest Gun Alive, with Glenn Ford is a really good one. Also 3:10 to Yuma with Glenn Ford I like better than the new one with crow. Got to give it up for Eastwood and the Duke

Forgot about the Glenn Ford Fastest Gun Alive.

That was a good one and deserves to be on the list.

I agree with most of that list but Eastwood's Hangem High is probably my favorite. I'm just more of an Eastwood fan I guess. Also surprised the remake of True Grit didn't make the list, I actually liked it better than original. I would subsitute Fist Full of Dollars with For a Few Dollars More and also throw Jeremiah Johnson in there close to first. But then I'm also a Redford fan too.

made a point to watch that with my son earlier this year.....that's a great movie and I remember watching it with my dad when I was younger. There was another mountain man movie that was big back then and I don't remember the name of it right now.

Tombstone is pretty high up on the list...I really liked Silverado too "some people do and some people dont". Dont forget about Wyatt Earp with Kevin Costner either...it was long as hell, but showed the entire life of Earp instead of a snapshot like Tombstone.

I think the voting on this subject depends on one's age. Some that were on that list I've never heard of simple because I'm only 42.

Favorite Western Actors - The Duke, Clint, Kevin Costner western pics.

I base "greatest all time ...." on if I can watch it again and never tire of it. Wyatt Earp, Tombstone, Dances with Wolves, Outlaw Josey Wales, Pale Rider...are such films.

Dances with Wolves is another one of my favorites. Kevin Costner really broke out after Silverado
