I voted for number one. Not near as much 'cheese' in the CGI dept. as in the later movies. Sure, it had its moments, blowin' welds on the intake, floorboard falling out all that other stuff. And you could say it sparked the undeniable wave of next-generation hot rodders and the aftermarket to support them. Although we may not agree with the import (and even some domestic) modifications, they are out there doing the same thing we are doing, enjoying their vehicles for what they are.

Following that, I'd say the 5th one wasn't too bad, and I don't remember the 4th one outside of the 2nd gen camaro doing a wheelie on sand . Tokyo Drift was just awful IMO. The second wasn't too bad either, but as I stated, I think they went a little overboard in that one with the ridiculousness in that one. Have not seen the latest installment yet.

The ridiculousness of the first one makes it very entertaining. The second one wasn't bad. Never watched Tokyo Drift. Four was meh. 5 wasn't bad and the Rock helped it out, but the story was a bit out there. Havent seen the new one yet.

gotta go with one. was in college and went to college station to see it opening night.

didn't matter that it was ridiculous, that was the point. after the movie every kid with a car was in the lot revving and spinning tires. it's a fine memory in honor of pw

You mean 2 Dodge Chargers pulling several ton safe like a balloon down the street can't happen?!? Or cut one off and use not 1 but 2 bottles of nitrous and a single Charger can use the safe as a offensive weapon?

Probably the 1st one and the last couple of movies...those are my favorites. I always liked the charger and the RX7 in the first movie...I read somewhere a long time ago that RX7 was a 500hp+ car. I want to say high 400's without the nitrous and like 570ish on the bottle.

yea...my favorite line from the first one was when the group pulled up to the sandwich shop where Paul Walker was sitting. Dude gets out of a MAXIMA and complains that its not running right...Jesse's response was and I quote "tune the nos timer and you'll run 9's"...

    wait...what?

Ask any racer. Any real racer. It don't matter if you win by an inch or a mile. Winning's winning.

Wait, this poll means there was a good one?

While I am sad that PW got killed, these movies were all pretty awful.

"Best One" is like asking which is the "best" STD.

Actually, I should qualify my statement because after watching the first one, and then allowing myself to think the second one may be better and watching it, I haven't watched any of the others.

If they got twice as good later they would still be a 3 on a 1-10 scale.

I love how some people take these movies so seriously and hate them because they aren't technically correct or accurate

Several of them are entertaining movies if you don't get your jimmies all rustled
