    Nothing close to that.
I get very little back as I do not pay it out up front.

Why Give UnK Sammy a free loan! It is MY money, I want it when I earn it. Not wait a year!!!

I tend to agree, the only reason I have so much paid in is because of bonuses that have taxes withheld at a higher rate.

There are ways around that but I don't want to have to submit a new W-4 every other month.

Last year I found about about a ....special...tax shelter type thing whick actually worked and I recieved my first rebate of $5500 instead of paying <$1000 extra.

It was sure nice as we Canucks get taxed to death because we basically run a welfare state type of system.

Paid monies to the 'shelter' agin this year looking for a big refund again!

I dont think Ive had a tax refund over $1k. This year I might get screwed cuz I had to sell $3k of stocks to pay off my car.

Theres something new this year...sales tax deduction? Might just be in FL though...

You can choose State Sales Tax or State Income Tax but only if you itemize.

i don't mean to turn this political...but how is it that america can afford to return all this money when we are in a war and building up a debt for that? Wouldn't it make more sense for the gov to keep all that money and put it into the economy?

Honestly, i'm comepletely ignorant to the whole system, so if someone would politely educate me, i would appreciate it
