unless you're planning on building a badass motor and the V6 is just temporary, I wouldn't suggest it. IMO.

No. If you want better gas mileage, buy a Prius; don't maim a perfectly good WS6.

I agree with them... unless you want to trade me your LS1 for my V-6. then I dont think you should do it.....
but seriously, if you want better mileage, sell your WS6 and buy a cheap-ass DD for gas mileage, and save yourself money and hassle, instead of wasting money and raping a perfectly good WS6.

im not sure this is a serious comment.......but if it is, the v6 firebird it said to get 17/28 mpg (5 spd.) and the v8 trans am is said to get 17/25 mpg (6spd.) However, alot of guys claim to get around 28mpg with the v8 on the highway and if you break down the difference per year its an additional 300 bucks a year to drive the v8. (Depending on how much you drive) That means it will take approximatly 10 years for it to pay itself off.

V8 Rapes the V6 in mpg if its a 6 speed and you can keep your foot off the pedal ALL THE TIME. Best I got was 32.8 mpg. Average is 29.9 mpg. Thats if I don't get on it. If I get on it quite a bit then my average is about 20.3 mpg.
