    Question What would you pay for this car? TA- Many mods!!

    Alright, I just got off the phone with a guy that lives right next to me.

    Guy has a 1999 WS6 Trans am. 6 Speed. Its got a 6.0 liter ( thats completely stock) in it. He got it from a junkyard and claims to have reciepts for it having uner 50 miles on it when he bought it. Stock cam, stock internals. Dino'd 370 rwhp and 401 rwtq

    12 bolt Moser rear end with 31 or 33 spline axles and a 3.73 gear ratio.

    Kooks 1 7/8 headers, custom exhaust all mandrel bent. from there.

    a bunch of bmr suspension, sub frame connectors not installed but included.

    W2W built T56 with viper internals, steel shift forks and a spec stage three clutch.


    5.3 lingenfelter ported heads. appx 11.0 to 1 compression.

    Has reciepts for everything installed on car, his father owns a shop and told me I can put it on a lift tomorrow and check everything out.

    Also has a set of Fikse Wheels. Stock WS6 wheels are on it now with brand new rubber.

    He says the exterior is a 9/10 and the interior is a 6/10. He gave me details about that. Not too worried about it. The car is black and is a WS6. Car has 60,000 miles on it.
    The guy sounds completely cool and legit, real nice guy.
    So what would YOU pay for this car???? I got a price, but I want to know what I could offer him. Any input on this car would be great guys, thanks.

    sounds like a nice car...he won't let it go for less than 15... offer him 12 and see what he says... honestly in my area something like that wouldn't sell for less than 18....

    To the right person, the mods are worth something.
    To me, they aren't. They aren't to KBB either.

    Scarey thing when a car that modded is for sale. The owner knows he/she will get pennies on the dollar (unless you are djvaly, then you think you get most of it back) for the mods.
    Are they trying to dump off a money pit?? Ditch it because it is starting to be nothing but problems? Or just in a spot where they need to sell it for family/other reasons?

    Nah, he just bought an 04 Cobra. He was going to drop a 454BB in it, then his boss ( works at a Ford dealership) gave him a steal of a deal on the Cobra. He gave the BBC to his dad for his build.

    I think thats the only reasoning behind the selling.

    Luos, what do you think about the 6.0 L out of the truck...

    Good powerplant to start with here? Would you take that over the LS1 as a starting point in this car?

    Anyone else??

    I have that block in my car.
    But it is stroked with all forged internals.

    The problem is the weight.
    Although, with a cam it would really wake up. The problem with the stock cam (truck 6L cam) is that it is ground more for torque and towing.
    If that is indeed the cam that is in there. Maybe it has a stock LS1 cam??

    No, it has the stock truck cam...

    Thats why the torque is so high in comparison to HP..

    Would that in anyway deter you from this car???
