Yeah that's what I was thinking, excellent when a chick is ogling at it, but unwieldy at other times.
That's not really a black-specific question; one of my good friends is black and is one of the most well-spoken guys I know, and transversely, some of the whitest guys I know have raped the language much worse than ebonics ever has.
Said friend actually joined a group called "I'm Black And I Speak Proper English. Stop Saying I'm "Trying To Act White" on facebook a few days ago, we had a good laugh about that.

It probably just depends on what type of people you associate with. Like murder mentioned previously, it has a lot to do with education, so as a university student, 90% of the people I meet & hang out with are currently in or have graduated from some sort of post-secondary or higher education, and generally speaking they go hand in hand.

Are you offended by what people post here about blacks? I have a black step brother and black friends... I don't look at them as black, but there is still alot of racism in the world. I hate the whole gangster thing people associate with blacks, but I hate the white people who act that way too.

What's up with the "Candy Car" thing? Or "Donks"? Or even putting 20" or larger rims on mid 80's cars?

Honestly at first i was, but after giving it some time and thought, I realized that most people on this site are not famailar with blacks on a personal basis. The fact is the media creates a lot of bad images of blacks and black men in general and being from detroit i have to deal with that also. I think if i really just a had a beer with a lot of the guys here we would not have any problems and would get along fine, maybe even friends who knows. I get the impression most people on this site just follows what the media displays as what a black man really is, instead of really finding out for themselves.............

Candy car is slang for nice paint job. As for putting 26's on mid eightes monte carlo's wow what can i say, they look at it as a show car, i think it looks rediculous personally, but i also don't like most import cars and a lot of those guys look at those as show cars also...........
