Country music fits right up there with the Lifetime Channel
Nothing good happens to a woman on the lifetime channel and nothing good happens to a country music singer.
Was it david allen coe who made the so called "Perfect country and western song" in which mama got out of prison and got hit by a train?

I will say though that it didn't start out as a country song, and i don't know if you would call it that even though Johnny Cash sung it. "Hurt"
That is one sad song when he sung it. Johnny Cash is probably the only country singer i can stand to listen to though.

One Bourban, one Scotch, One Beer Or I Drink Alone. At Least You Can Drink And Not Go Into Depression. Don't Get Me Wrong I Like All Types Of Music, Country Included, But Boy Some Tunes Can Bring You Waaaaay Down. I Prefer Upbeat Music Myself.

The Cash version of HURT is awesome, in that it is very sad.
Originally written and recorded by Nine Inch Nails, Johnny Cash recorded it after he lost Rosanne (sp), he was so tore up. You can hear the sorrow.
Great call CCM!
