What is some really sad and depressing country music to drink whisky to?

No pop-country just straight up slow and sad

Anytime I find myself forced to listen to country music I find it pretty sad.

Country music fits right up there with the Lifetime Channel

Nothing good happens to a woman on the lifetime channel and nothing good happens to a country music singer.

Was it david allen coe who made the so called "Perfect country and western song" in which mama got out of prison and got hit by a train?

I will say though that it didn't start out as a country song, and i don't know if you would call it that even though Johnny Cash sung it. "Hurt"

That is one sad song when he sung it. Johnny Cash is probably the only country singer i can stand to listen to though.

You bastage, you beat me too it!!

The Cash version of HURT is awesome, in that it is very sad.
