what grade of fuel
i see that the owners manual recommends premium for the v8 but it's not required. says that it will run okay on mid-grade as well just not the tip top acceleration.
so what do you use and why?

i use 93 because i think its stupid not too. If you are modding your car and want to go as fast as possible i really don't think its worth cheaping out 1 buck when you fill up.

This comes up every now and then and I think most people miss the point of this question.
Let's say I drive the car "normally" and don't rev the engine past 2.5 or 3K RPMs. Would I notice any difference in performance?
I've always used 93 because I like to get on it from time to time, but I wonder about putting in 87 for days where I'm just cruising back and forth to work.

that's me. i'm not hot rodding the car. i'll be using it 9 times out of 10 to go to and from my g/f's house and back and forth to school 30 miles one way with mostly interstate driving.
i'm trying to be nice to my wallet and to the car by not goin to far into the rpm range...usually shift out around 3k or so.
this being said. is mid-grade going to hurt me at all?

Silver- 1998 Camaro Z28 A4
i voted premium, which is 95 here in germany. the owners manual says 95, but i also wondered if i could use regular (91). but i like to rev here and there, so maybe not. we have 98 and 100 (shell v-power), too. i doubt it would make any difference, though....

- Mexican killed my car
I use 93 here. That's alot better than my last car. It ran on 100LL.

what is 100LL and what car was this?!
i filled up today with 93. i'm a cheap bastard and i drove around town until i found premium at the low low price of $2.81.9 instead of $2.89.9 down the street.
