What a F'ing weekend!!

I am soooooooo glad this weekend is over. For the last 2 weeks at least one of my kids has been sick then another gets it. Well Friday night I go to check on my daughter(age 6) and she is out cold, not surprising @ 10pm, however her breathing was so ragged and she looked like she was running a marathon. We take her to the ER, her O2 was down to 85%, thats low, very low for a kid. After 6 hrs in the ER she get's put into some special wing for kids, kinda like a kids ICU. Every 4 hrs they are giving her breathing treatments and other stuff. Finally on Sunday she shows some improvement. (Thank God!), Yesterday we were allowed to take her home. We are so glad she is getting better. Then as I was getting her prescriptions, my T/A decides it's jealous and craps the battery. Took to Autozone, checked it, yep need replaced, damn it $85 more dollars to kick out on top of some serious $$$ for the meds. Get home, give her the steroids she needs. They winded up her, now she's like a mini tornado and can't stop talking or laughing...

glad I could escape to work.

Hate to say it but her older brother tested positive for the swine flu, so they put everyone on the Tamiflu, she just just develop pneumonia before the meds could kick in.

This crap (swine flu) is no joke!! I'm a little pissed off because the local news isn't reporting on it too much. The school district we are in is getting their teeth kicked in. It's only the third week of school here and about 20% to 25% of the kids are coming down with the flu or swine flu and it's not even flu season yet. The health dept for the state (AL) won't even take anymore test to confirm because 95% are positive for it. Yet nothing on the news! This is BS!

Man, I am glad your child is ok...
Always a scare when the little ones take ill... I lost years of my life when Daniel.. My boy was younger..
