What dothe pros recommend?
I have my motor tore apart with my upper end rebuild. Right now I am using valvoline to spray/smear over the cylinder walls. Anyone have anything that will work better, don't want my shit getting rusty. To be exact, I have oil smeared on them and then a rag used to apply stuffed in each wall, and a rag covering the upper end.

I used ATF to clean up the cylinder walls, and covered them while it sat.
Not much of it though. Soaked a little up on a towel that wouldn't fall apart or leave little pieces of lint in the motor.

Ok, I do have lint free rags that won't fall apart, so I am good in that sense. Might do ATF next time I re-oil them. How often should I oil them?

I just did it once. To clean it up before putting the heads on.

I gotcha, thanks for the help. I will prolly just do it once a week just to make sure everything is good to go.
