Black- 2002 Camaro ss
What do you think about the LS9 ?
I just looked at the color picture walk-thru of an LS9 being built at the GM assembly plant in Wixom, Michigan. This is on the LSX web-site.
This is probably old news, but it is just a piece of workmanship that makes me proud to be an American. 638 hp for the ZR-1 Corvette. Made here in the United States of America. When the Man got all done with the assembly
he applied a tag that has his name on it as well as a UAW logo. This country will never be what it was, but it is good to see this special GM location putting out a heavy hitter super-charged American engine.
All the best,
jess

Very impressive engine, forged internals, amazing valve train and the trq curve is pure sex.

Phantom Black Metallic- 2004 GTO M6
Went to a car show yesterday and saw this:
Nice sound and QUICK!!! Guy left and goosed it. Sounded like it had LTs on it(I dunno if ZR1s come with LTs) but it had a nice growl.

Cast pistons, 882 heads with a quadrajet, and 2" ram horn manifolds? 175 horsepower and 310 lb/ft of torque? What a piece of shit. Just keeding. My motor is actually called an ls9 as well. But the new ls9 is just about the only thing the Government has gotten right with our tax dollars yet I'd rather have a base ls3 vette with a turbo. For 60k cheaper.

teal- 99 Z28 with an SS complex
i think the ls9 is an awesome engine, it may be expensive, but i think it is worth it. Just like the Jackass, the 69 camaro with the LS9, the LS9 sure seems to be stout. I need to do a search to see what a fully tuned, maybe modded is laying down.

blacker than wesleysnipes- 98' trans am
i like the motor..but it has its limitations with the blower..it is my understanding that a pulley mod is a lot more complicated due to its sitting depth and upgrades on the blowers are nearly impossible.
