What do you think of this?
We are debating on releasing a kit to make your side markers blink with your turn signals for looks and safety. Click the links below to display a video of what it would look like.

That's pretty cool. Would you make it an option to have them blink with the turn signals instead of alternate?

Because of the way the car is originally wired. They blink like that when the headlights/parking lights are on but during the day to they don't alternate like that.
Also it would be sold as 2 kits so you could just do the front or just do the rear.

to me they look like you have your emergency lights on & u are in a emergency, I have a truck that, it does that without the kit, When u turn the turning signal on the emergency lights come on .I have an electrical nightmare lol .But to answer your poll ,i personally would not buy them to put on my car

Safety is always the most important. It's not like you are going to be running around w/ ur blinkers on all over the place. It gets the others attention. I like it, but it depends on price.

I would buy it if my insurance saw it as being safer and decreased my premium.

The price is still not 100%. It should be farily cheap though. Cheaper than the Window Fix kit for sure.
I also wondered if the insurance companies would give any discount. They probably would not add a new discount to their system just for this so probably not.
The hardware behind the kit is universal, it would just be the wiring that is different. We have a few car models we were wanting to make it for. Then a kit that would be universal with just labeling what wiring you need to find.

Why does the alternating matter so much? Aside from someone being at an angle that they would see both anyone seeing the side marker, front, or back only will not see that it is alternating.
Thought I'd just throw this out here for input.

Yeah, looks unnatural. Unless someone was at an extreme angle, I think they'd see both lights anyway, especially if it was at night. It would look a lot better in my opinion if they all blinked in unison.
Since the side markers are at the same height or lower than the factory blinkers, I don't know if it would necessarily add to the safety factor. Someone would still need to be looking at about the same height from the rear of the car, even if they were off to one side. The thing about the ones on the side view mirrors is that they sit higher on the vehicle, so if you're looking more ahead instead of down you spot them easier.
I don't think I would buy them, but I'm not in the "I'd get anything for the car that looked cool" stage anymore. I once looked at those kits you could get to make the three rear lights on each side run sequentially instead of all at once and thought seriously about purchasing them. Things nowadays go on mostly only if necessary.
