what do i do now,the nightmare 12 bolt,kinda long
ok,i have a hell of a problem.i ordered a moser 12 bolt axle from a performance shop(will name shop if the crap hits the fan) back on Apr 13,2010.they took my order and gave me a very good price,i was very happy, they said it would ship out probably the following monday (apr 19th) so i call back on apr 20th to see when to expect the axle to be delivered, they said there was a issue with the u-joint(i ordered a 1310 pinion and am reusing the factory driveshaft) apparently 3 u-joints were used from the factory,i tell them to build it with the most common one.ok they said,so i called them back on apr 26th to see when it would be delivered, now there is a money issue, apparently the good price i got was not so good after all since they quoted me a 12 bolt with a spool.they say they need a additional $250 forthe eaton posi ,ok no problem,i tell them to run my card again for the 250 on tuesday apr 27th.ok so on thursday apr 29 i call them for a update, the guy i was dealing with said he would check and call me back.on friday apr 30th (he didn't call me back btw)i called them, they said they should get a tracking number tommorrow(saturday may 1)ok on monday may 3rd i called for a update, they said that moser ran out of bearings(really?) and it would ship thursday may 6th,ok so on thursday i call and they say it would ship today (may 7th) and they would email me a tracking number....guess what,no email so i call them when i got off work, stayed on hold for 14 minutes and they said the person i was holding for was busy and call back in 20-30 minutes,ok i did as they said and they put me on hold for another 14 minutes and then told me that they would call me back. btw they have only called me back 1 time when they said they would.so what do i do,it has been almost a month since i ordered the rear axle and moser says it only takes 2 days to build and ship a 12 bolt.i called moser too,but they couldn't do anything with out a P.O. number from the performance shop, and they refused to give me that,so moser couldn't even see if a axle was even ordered.

That doesn't sound real promising. Hope it gets straightened out for you. I also ordered mine through a semi-local speed shop in lieu of directly from Moser. I think it was around 2 weeks from the time I ordered until it was delivered to the shop. If I knew then what I know now, I would have placed the order through KY Speed.

i sent mark a pm before i ordered my 12 bolt, but he never responded.also couldn't find a phone number for kentucky speed, but i wish i would have ordered it directly from moser even though it would have been $112. more for the same exact thing(i think, not real sure it will be right if ever delivered).just kinda pissed with the whole situation,i wonder if my bank can get the money back,i ordered it with my debit card.

you are protected by visa on your debit card so I would check Monday about cancelling the order and having your bank get the money back. Honestly, since you're this far in I would call the shop first thing Monday morning and tell them exactly what you're doing and if they don't have a tracking number to you by noon then you'll proceed with a fraud claim. When you call stay on hold for as long as it takes to talk to whoever is in charge...don't fall for the call back thing again. Tell them you'll wait.
This is shop's busy time of year and there are gonna be hold ups.....just have to accept that going in. I used to get extremely pissed about this kinda thing but after a while I learned there are only a couple of companies that won't eventually do it to you. What isn't excusable is them promising you ship dates that never happen. Quite frankly as soon as they said they needed another $250 I would've cancelled the order.

I would do like Orion said and cancel the order. Sorry you have had issues and hope you get it all worked out. I bought my Moser directly from them. I order it on Monday and was in my driveway by Friday.

I would cancel that order and make your experience with the particular vendor made public. Poor customer service is a business killer.
