what to do?
so i wanted to buy a radio from an unnamed individual on this site. i sent the money to him in good faith that i would receive the radio(i know,i know) 2 months later i still dont have the radio and get no replys via email. i have his address (if its real). it was under 100.00 bucks total should i just let it go and chalk it up as a reaffirming lesson not to trust anyone or pursue other means on the principal of the situation?

this is a perfect opportunity to pitch my company.
canofwhoopass.com. of course this is just a thought....but
it's kinda like fight club..if you're in this situation and you need say someone from the philly area to pay you, or is a dead beat, you have someone in that area go to his/her house. When they open the door, you kick them in the balls. Depends on how much money they owe you, how far you kick their ass.
$100 is a kick in the nuts
$200 is a kick in the nuts and a punch in the face
it'll go on from there...you get the idea.

actually i'm a deputy sheriff. and this really happened to me on this site.
I sent money to a guy in Ill. for a SLP y-pipe. He got the money but never sent the pipe. I sent pm's, I called and I reposted on his post that he should call me. So I called the police in the area and they drove to his house. The officer called me back later that day. He said the kid almost shit himself when he opened the door and got questioned about the y-pipe on LS1.com.

What ever happened to COD?
That would clean a lot of issues up like the ones that happen at this site from time to time.Be who you are and say what you feel 'cause people who mind don't matter, and people who matter don't mind.'

Post query in this section : Member Feedback
Post the sellers name too, if he/she has defualted on a sale, the community should know. You don't have to be negative, but just post it up so we can follow up on the situation with both parties involved. Hopefully we can get this issue resolved.

yup, I got it.
they may not bother with such a small amount. but if you catch them on a good day, and you have all your correspondance, you might be able to.

Need an itrader rating system on this site
Also wouldn't hurt to make people post pics along with some paper with their username, forum name and the date. Those two things together work like a charm on another site I post on...really keeps the scams/scammers to a minimum.Last edited by SeVeReDiStOrTiOn; 11-30-2011 at 03:53 PM.

There is an iTrader rating when the item is posted in the for sale section.

like was said...post member feedback and name the individual. If they come through you can always post that they did but at a minimum it gives others a heads up on the seller. I've also seen Ed ban people from the site for not following through on a transaction. We can't have that here.....we're a community and if someone screws one of us then they can't be in our community. Good luck and hope the seller comes through for you.

Then I agree with the others. Post it up.
Or talk to a mod via PM to match up his email address to his username here.

I sent you a PM back... as long as his email address is the same one he uses here, then yes, his username can be discovered. PM me his email, and I will pass it along to Ed to figure out who it is so we can get a thread going in the appropriate section.
