anyone who actually thinks he does this for any reason other than entertainment is missing the point. If you dont think a guy that climbed everest at 23, is an ex british S.A.S, and has gone through the foreign legion training can survive on his own then I dont know who could. Les Stroud is boring as shit and Bear Grylls is pure entertainment. He shows you how you could survive, not that he can.

It's not whether he can or not. I have great respect for his accomplishments.

What I dislike is how the show doesn't portray the circumstances in an entirely true manner.

sorry, but throwin this out there. do you really think a cable network wants to be the cause of someones death because they wanted to show how you "could" survive? i know he's not full on doin it all, but theres a certain point with all this reality crap that they just can't do it. he's still a bad ass guy imo, even if he's having help
