wow, what rock have you been hiding under?
Paying Reggie Bush a 6 figure salary during his stay at USC was the main one, but there are apparently others..

Mainly all their wins for like 2-3 years will be erased. Recruiting will be decimated (Pete Carol saw this coming)....Go Trojans!

I admit I like the trojan football program, ever since I was a kid. All I knew was that they won all the time. But USC and other big colleges are notorious for stuff like this. But I remember USC being caught in similar scandals back in the 80's. As far as I'm concerned...NCAA division 1 is pretty much a professional entity anyways.

Reggie bush's family got a house and cell phones from a sports marketer. A USC coach knew but didn't say anything about it. I don't think the university was actively invovled, but were passive to alumni and supporters skirting the rules.

It will no affect his pro career. He may be removed from the books as the Heisman winner in 2005 but thats it.
They just change what the record books show. Its possible they may have to vacate their 2004 BCS title as well. If thats the case, the record books will not acknowledge them as the 2004 champion.

All their violations do not stem strictly from football and Reggie Bush either. OJ Mayo a basketball player received a few hundred thousand dollars worth of benefits while he was there. That made it multi sports which made the penalties harsher and USC was last on probation back in 2001 which makes them fall into the time period of repeat offender which again made the penalties that much worse. They got caught, and caught badly and are going to pay severely for this mess. 2 years of postseason ban and loss of scholarships will reduce income for the university significantly. Have fun at the bottom of the totem pole for a while USC.
But Pete Carroll leaving USC had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with these sanctions and infractions, he swears.

You know what type of can of worms that opens .. If you take away USC wins then someone else would have played in the title game .. I say what happened in the past is done .. Can only punish them in the future ...
