What is the best modern muscle car? ur opinions?
After the orignal muscle car era ended. What muscle car has been the most dominate and impressed you the most since then? lets leave the vettes and vipers and other high end sport cars out of this discussion.

2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
While I disagree with some, most agree that the 1st Muscle Car era ended with the 72MY due to higher insurance premiums based on engine size and the lowering of compression ratios to accomodate the ever increasing presence of the fedrally mandated emmision regulations.
The modern era is even more open to interpretation but I feel it was the reemergence of the horsepower wars between the Camaro and the Mustang back in the mid-80's.
This puts me squarely in the "I feel it was due to the Camaro (or F-bodies)"...
Muscle cars are loosely defined as having 1 ft-lb of torque for every 10 lbs of vehicle weight. Some say 1hp/10lbs but torque moves the car and HP is a function ot torque.Last edited by 67CamaroRSSS; 07-04-2010 at 08:57 PM. Reason: added muscle car definition
