    1997 Formula & 2003 cobra

Went to track with new set up. *video*

I only got a chance to run 4 times, it was very busy.

Race weight with me in it : 3870lbs (what a pig)

mods: 2.76 pulley, steeda cai, tune, MGW shifter, 28" slicks (i know they are too big for my car but i had no other choice and it effected my trap pretty bad)

I ran best of 11.90@115mph and after that 11.97@112mph.

    (my stock best was 12.70@113mph w/ 2.0 60')

    the car made 435rwhp - 470rwtq

I was Launching very easy off the line cuz i was too afraid to break something. first 2 runs i launched at idle and last 2 runs i launched at 2,5kRPM with slipping the clutch and cut best of 1.81 60'

The car definetely has 11.5-11.6s in it with pretty hard launch but i need this car, so i will prolly never launch that high unless i have daily driver.

I am kinda tired so i don't wanna mess with scanning timeslips, i will do it tomorrow.

here is the videos. on 12.5 run, i missed a gear. I was shifting pretty slow beacsue the shifter is brand new and i am not used to it at all so i was taking easy to not to miss any gear!

I just can't stop buying now. I just ordered mid-pipe and i am looking for heat exchangers. somebody cancel my internet

I am happy to be in 11s even though i was taking easy off the line.

is there any changes on your car Curtis? any more power? I might catch your power but i will not be as fast as you.

do you have any new videos? I would love to see them, since i had mustang, i am away from f-body web sites. especially automotiveforums.com

    Race weight is 3870lbs

Oh well, I love this car with only a few hundred bucks, i ran 11s

    Thanks guys.

If you saw the long video, then no, nothing new.

    Power is the same.
In 48 hours I should be making a pass at the track myself. Shooting for anything around/below 11.80 up here.

1st - I hate Mustangs. Just kidding. Nice looking Street car! Doesn't look like any mods are on it!! great sleeper.

1st run - Saw a 69 Camaro pull up behind the Dodge. And you had a slow light!
Nice time for the easy launch!

2nd run - nice launch, against the same Dodge. Weather looked crappy!
Another nice time for the launch!

You can really get down low in the 11's with a serious launch. But also understand the reasoning!

Good luck and have a good season!

when i was bone stock, i was beating ful bolts on LS1s at track (both on street tires) i guess not everybody can drive them. right now i should be able to beat cammed LS1s but not sure on HEAD/CAM/INTAKE LS1s, i would probably got beat but once i do my exhaust and port job, then i wil be relax on the streets

    Thanks a lot guys!!

so a cammed LS1 can hit 11s easily like pullied cobras right?

how about H/C/I LS1s w/ bolts on? how would they run on a 1/4 mile with DRs?

    11s are easy for a cammed ls1.
depending on what kind of cam and heads a person uses, they can hit 10s.
lets say i was to throw on a set of afr heads, i can easily gain 30+ rwhp and be just about mid 11s with a very tame set up.
