Sarge not to get off topic, but the guy at autozone yesterday told me Fram was the best filter out there. He said he cut one open with a bandsaw and the can was really thick. He said the filter element was really good too. He said it was the second best of all he has cut apart. He peddles this information to unsuspecting patrons. Scary huh? Then again he didn't know what kind of car a ws6 was.

Sarge the Savage is a great gun not real fancy but dam goo shooters especially the 110 in the 30.06! I've had two 06's and 7mm mag, have 30.06 and 22-250, and 17 rimfire now all in savage. You can't beat them! Hell the last 06 I had I was hitting golfball at 200 yards with handloads ? Oh well dam good guns IMO just keep em oiled?

223/556 is a great caliber for an urban combat type of situation and so is the 308.
30-06 is a great round to reach out and touch someone.

My gun of choice if all out war civil war breaks out,

Sarge, my brother used to have a .223 and I loved shooting that thing. Extremely accurate at long distances. His just had a peep site on it but I was deadly length wise in a corn field shooting Treflan jugs.

I will say I'm a huge fan of the .30-06 though. I've shot a few of them too. I typically only have guns I get use out of which means hunting. Can't hunt with a rifle in Ohio because Ohio is chocked full of idiots that can't even make it through a bow season without sticking an arrow in some poor bastard so a rifle is out of the question here. I use my 50 cal muzzle loader for deer and that's about as rifle as it gets here. I'm pretty nasty with it too once I get in the zone.

M1 garand is an AWESOME rifle. Last time I shot it I fired so many rounds the barrel got so damn hot the front site fell off. No shit.

I love me a .223, My best buddy who just got out of Marines ( Scout Sniper ) has an AR-15 that he built to be almost exactly like what he had. Anybody ever shoot a rifle with the ACOG scope? Fucking scope cost more then that entire rifle, no shit.

My buddy deer hunts upstate NY with a Thompson contender plus a muzzle loader and that contender is a pretty good gun if i may add, i was thinking of getting me one. NY has the same laws were no rifles are permitted to hunt deer because of the retards there. i use a Browning sweet 16 12ga. shotgun that lays the smack down quite well.
