thinkin my car was shinin and all pretty...until everyone else rolled up....there was not a stock engine or chassis there except mine....im talkin some serious muscle....vettes with cams and 200 shots...600hp gto's...500+hp cobras...it sucked because it seemed that no one was interested in talkin and hangin out, they just wanted to race., but the thing that tripped me out was they raced on the feeder of a major interstate. my car didnt get any looks except for a couple of people thinkin it could be a potential race, which wasnt gonna happen...so i quietly rolled out, went home and got online and started plottin some upgrades.....

LOL same reason I stopped going to the local ones around here, I was by far the slowest one there everytime. shit even the civics were faster.

nah no pics....too many people around each car....plus i was the new guy and didnt wanna step on toes....i dont have plans of goin to another meet with that group until i get on par.....perhaps an occasional cruise to the beach with a couple of other cars i know....spaz, fundage is limited...i was thinkin maybe a cam and heads, so i can at least sound presentable....cant go all out, especially since the ol lady says after we get our new house, i can purchase an old school muscle car.....

does not matter how fast it goes if it is still a civic. you have a trans am! you have an american icon. i don't care how much faster those cars are, i'd be happy i have my TA.

and i wouldn't go back if that is all they want to do is race on the street. fuck em. plenty of other groups that would be happy to just hang out and look at cars.

i guess my general opinion is if you cant "accept" (for lack of better term right now) people for their general enthusiasm with motorsports..... then thats not the type of people id want to hang with.....

for instance, the freemont meet i got started, we've had some awesome cars, to the people who love their car stock, IE clints ling. vette, a cherry candy orange vette, to a plethora of black ws6.s and even a gran prix lol but its a great bunch of guys who like to talk cars, drink beer, eat steak, and tell lies lol

yea yea....these guys aint like the guys i used to roll with...it wasnt strictly lsx cars, which i know shouldnt make a difference, but these guys were hardcore racers....at the track every weekend type.
