Well... I finally did it!

I finally just bought a 1100.00 ati converter for my malibu. It's been sitting since kids broke in to my storage place and ripped off the carbs, 6-71, intake manifold etc. I did get all my parts back in three days, from the help of the local speed shop (dickweed came in w/ my goodies). The engine is back together, as well as a new tranny w/ reverse valve body and trans brake. Just needed that one part to connect the engine and trans and plop into the car. The rear is a F*** 9", four link suspension. Should dive deep into the 9's. I am stoked. Here is a few pics. John

I can't agree more. I made a list of the combo and bought parts over 4 years to build it, totalled it up and about shit. Another 6 grand and I could have built a 12-71 blown 540 BB and run 1200 + hp on the street (or more). That where i am heading when this one grenades. But! the rings are clearenced for 200 hp of nitrous, so 8's are not out of the equasion. Until the head gaskets pops, or worse....
