Lottery = A voluntary tax on the mathematically challenged.

There's a reason most lottery winners are broke before the lottery finishes paying out. Most of them aren't very smart.

That said, there's a difference in someone who casually buys $5 worth of tickets for a $5 dream and the idiots who spend their income on tickets hoping to hit it big.

I have 2 personal experiences with Lottery winners:

Biggest winner $200,000. Family was related to my sister's husband.

They owed $30k on their house. Got the money, bought 3 new vehicles, 2 jet skis and trailer, boat, Big TV, etc...

1.5 years later = money gone (got the Gold Membership at a nearby casino, was going to turn that small fortune into BIG fortune), cars gone, boat gone, and house up for repossession. And no clue how they got in that predicament. Stupid.

2nd was owner of a company I visited regularly. The owner won like $2k on a $1 ticket. Come to find out he spends $500 a week on tickets. Great return on his investment there.

Here Here! As long as rahman and manchuran stays below 35 cents a piece I will have no problem sustaining my high class life style. The day I found out the coffee pot at work could be used to create near boiling water was like my greatest moment ever.

If I ever play and for some reason I win. I'll invest all of it. Every last penny.

I'd send checks to relatives and friends i still care about, every month. You can EASILY live beyond your means with just the interest.

Hardly any one is that smart though....that plays.

Yeah lots of these people buy million dollar houses that cost $50,000+ to maintain each month between staff and other misc bills. They run out of money in 2 years... LOL!

I randomly play for the fun of it, if I do win... I will also invest.
