Well.... after the next month or so i probably won't be welcome on this site anymore....

My dad and i had a little talk today about my driving situation and how i have to always drive this big ass suburban Z71 around everywhere i go. He says even though my grades aren't where he wants them to be in school i deserve some sort of car...

So he says the deal was for my grades to be over a certain gpa and they didn't make it up that far. And if they did i would have had some sort of f-body... Well he tells me today at dinner that i can't get one because i didn't hold up my end of the deal so i'm like oh shit....

He then says well you can get something because you are a HUGE help around the house and you don't act like a spoiled brat when you don't get stuff you want. So i'm like okay where is this goin dad?

He says well heres your options he slides over a piece of paper and i'm like wtf?

It says in the following order....

1. 99-04 Mustang GT
2. Foxbody mustang gt
3. Suburban Z71 ( which i already drive i can keep it)

So he says your not LS1 worthy but you have earned yourself one of the three so i'm like thankyou so much and i come over and give him a hug and tell him how much i appreciate it.....

So i am DELIGHTED and so grateful that he's letting me get something and i am going to admit this is probably the happiest days of my entire life....

So which one should it be??

If you wanna haul people, keep the 'burb.


If you want the "honda" of the v8 world (in terms of aftermarket availability), get the foxbody.


If you want a chick car, get the 99-04 mustang.

If not, I vote for finding a clean, black 99-04 GT 5-speed vert. That's about as good looking of a car as you'll get out of those options.

then find a clean foxbody. bargain with dad that you'll get the foxbody, but you want the difference between the two paid in cash for mods.

Eh, I think he meant work as in get a job moreso than work harder to impress daddy.

For the record I bought my first LS1 (2002 Z28) for $15k at age 18 while working my way through my first semester of college. Bought my 2nd (2002 T/A) at age 19 for $14k during the summer after my first year of college. All paid for myself, including school. It ain't impossible to get what you want on your own. I did that working a meat/seafood counter in a grocery store after school and selling books/tudoring kids over the summer. Just gotta be smart with your money.

Edit: Weeeelll...since you aren't 18...drive a fucking 92 Accord like I was at 16! I'd have loved an 04 GT back then..
