Welcome to Newcastle gentlemen... But you cant park that there!
A few pics from our recent storms. Not the worst storm in comparison to others, but has been devistating to our humble little city.
I didn't get much of a chance to take pics during the cleanup, here are a few though...

Be happy that the Dry cargo Vessel was empty and riding high. It can easily be tugged off that bank.
Now, if it was fully loaded, that would have been bad.

If it was loaded the prop would have been in the water and they probably would have returned to the open ocean They had pumped their balast out too early and left nothing in the rear. A full ship would have been much worse, but she still weighs 40,000 tons empty, and the hull has already buckled and ruptured. Not badly ATM but we could be in for the worst yet...
This event isn't going to look too good in the Captain's resume when he is looking for a new job. I think his next radio message will involve something along the lines of "Would you like fries with that Sir?"

Thanx guys. Yeah we are ok ATM. But it seems everyone around us is at least knee deep in water...
As long as the water drops enough for us to get through to Sydney for the drags in 2 weeks, I'll be happy
