website and computer guru's
Hey , my wife is very interested in designing websites. she has a little experence with maintaining one or two but not from scratch. Any ideas on what could get her started? She great with computers and knows alot about them as she was a it tech for the company she worked for. thanks.

There are excellant books/videos from lynda.com. Tell her to learn Dreamweaver and CSS. If she has about a month to devote toward teaching herself, she'll feel like a professional in no-time. However it took me about 2.5 years before I felt like I was producing high quality stuff.
Learning thes programs will only teach her how to do the web programming and functionality. They hardly touch on the essentials of good webdesign and organization. I would highly suggest atleast a 2 year design program for that so she can develop her artist's eye.
